1. Grant of License

This End-User License Agreement ("EULA") is a legal contract between you ("Licensee") and PIIShield ("Licensor"). The Software is licensed, not sold. Licensor grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual license to install and execute PIIShield on your personal or corporate Windows hardware solely for the purpose of detecting, reviewing, and redacting personally identifiable information (PII).

2. Permitted Use

Commercial & Enterprise Use: You may use PIIShield in professional, corporate, enterprise, and educational environments without restriction on processed document volume.
Local Processing: You may operate PIIShield on air-gapped, offline, or secure corporate networks with full functionality.

3. License Restrictions

You may not distribute, host as a cloud-service (SaaS), sub-license, rent, or lease the Software binary without explicit written permission.
You may not modify, adapt, translate, reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the proprietary application wrapper or UI components.
You may not alter or remove any copyright notices, badges, or proprietary markings.

4. Open Source Attribution

PIIShield incorporates permissible open-source software libraries, including pypdf (BSD-3-Clause), pdf2image (MIT), Pillow (MIT-CMU), GLiNER (Apache 2.0), ONNX Runtime (MIT), OpenCV (Apache 2.0), and EasyOCR (Apache 2.0). All third-party software remains subject to its respective open-source licensing terms, none of which restrict commercial utilization or require source disclosure of the host application.

5. Termination

Without prejudice to any other rights, Licensor may terminate this EULA if you fail to comply with its terms and conditions. In such event, you must destroy or uninstall all copies of the Software in your possession.

6. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws governing commercial software transactions.
